Organisational Development Consulting : People Savvy Get Focused on Growth
People Savvy Consulting specialises in organisational development consulting in the corporate sector. After operating for 3 years the owners realised they wanted to shift the focus of the work they were doing and the business needed to change with them. They used the Strategic Stocktake to get clear about where they wanted to head with the business.
November 2002
People Savvy Consulting was started as a means for the two owners to have greater control over the way they serviced clients. However they soon reached capacity and needed to rethink the way they were doing business if they were going to reach their long-term goals. They wanted to be working with more corporate clients and preferably clients that can facilitate their move into international projects. They also wanted the business to be more financially rewarding, provide for international travel and support other aspects of their lifestyle.
The Strategic Stocktake helped them to:
- Clearly identify their preferred clients and what those clients valued about the services People Savvy delivered
- Simply and clearly communicate their points of difference and benefits to an audience that was potential already feeling over-serviced
- Understand the type of image they wanted to project and how that needed to be communicated through all marketing material including their website
- Be clear about and committed to the long term strategy for the business
"It really helped us get clear about what we needed to communicate and made designing our website really easy. We get really good feedback on our website. It was very good for getting us clear and focusing us." Katina Cremona, Principal, People Savvy, www.peoplesavvy.com.au
